$35,000 Xpressbet LIVE Tournament

Xpressbet LIVE is a handicapping tournament that challenges you to earn the most money based on single $20 Win wagers in each of 10 mandatory races. Results are ranked according to total mutuel payoffs. The top 10 players earn seats at Las Vegas tournaments or cash prizes. The top 30 players also qualify for Xpressbet Showdown. Registration opens Wednesday, March 7, 2012 and competition is Saturday, March 24, 2012.

How To Play

  • You must register to play.
  • There’s a $100 registration fee per entry that is deducted from the player’s wagering account. Each account holder may register for up to two entries ($200 total). The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Xpressbet LIVE registration is open to Xpressbet account holders in good standing.
  • Place a single, online, ‘live’ $20 Win wager on one horse in each of 10 mandatory races ($200 total wagered).
  • Players must make all 10 mandatory wagers to win any prize.
  • Mandatory races will be posted on www.xpressbet.com.
  • Players’ results are ranked according to total mutuel payoffs and prizes are awarded to the highest ranked players, as described below.
  • Ties:
    • First Tie-Breaker - The player with the single highest winning mutuel payoff of all tied players will be ranked above the others. If a tie remains, the player with the second-highest single mutuel payoff of all tied players will be ranked above the others. This process will continue until the tie is broken.
    • Final Tie-Breaker - If 2 or more players remain tied after the first tie-breaker procedure has been exhausted, the final tie-breaker will go to the player who registered for the tournament first.
    • All decisions are final.

Things You Should Know

  • Contest wagers must be made online only and must be submitted via the Contest Wagerpad. No other wagers will be accepted. Failure to place a mandatory Contest Wager will result in disqualification.
  • Scratched horses count zero in the competition. If a player has submitted a Contest Wager on a scratched horse, the player may submit a second single $20 Win wager on another horse in the race after the scratch has been processed. Once the scratch has been processed, the Contest Wager will automatically be cancelled and refunded. DO NOT CANCEL ANY CONTEST WAGERS. This will result in disqualification.
  • Mutuel payoffs are capped at 20-1 ($420) for contest scoring purposes.
  • Player’s wagering accounts will be credited with winnings for all competition wagers and debited for all losing wagers.
  • NHC Tour players may earn Tour points playing Xpressbet LIVE.
  • A single player may win a maximum of one (1) DRF/NTRA NHC qualifying seat during Xpressbet’s 2012 Tournament Schedule. A single player may win up to two (2) entries to the Coast Casino’s Horse Player World Series.
  • If a player who previously has qualified for a DRF/NTRA NHC seat in any 2012 Xpressbet handicapping tournament, or in any other 2012 tournament, wins a duplicate seat to that tournament, the seat will go to the next highest qualified finisher and the awarding of tournament seats will be adjusted according to the standings.
  • According to 2012 NTRA rules, in order to win a seat in the 2013 DRF/National Handicapping Championship a player must be a member of the NHC Tour. If you plan to compete for an NHC Championship seat in an Xpressbet tournament, you must first become an NHC Tour member and enter your Tour number at registration.
  • Players may qualify for up to two entries in Xpressbet Showdown.
