# 6 RED AT NITE 5/2

# 1 NATIVE MATCH 4/1

# 3 GREAT FACTS 3/1

RED AT NITE looks very good to best this field. Should be considered here on the basis of the figures in the speed department alone. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Gorham have shown solid results recently. Gorham has him trained admirably to break promptly out of the gate. NATIVE MATCH - His earnings per start in dirt sprint races alone makes you take a look at him. He has been running admirably and the speed figures are among the strongest in this field. GREAT FACTS - He has earned respectable figs under today's conditions and will almost certainly fare well against this group of animals. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Waters have shown strong results lately.

# 2 HOAGY'S ROCKET 2/1

# 5 Q GUNS N AMMO 3/1

# 1 FIRST TO FINISH 7/2

HOAGY'S ROCKET is the most favorable bet in this race. Has very strong early speed and will probably fare well against this group of animals. There is a very good chance that this entry's late pace will improve with second time Lasix. Is tough not to consider given the company run in as of late. Q GUNS N AMMO - Has been running quite well lately and ought to be up on the lead early on. FIRST TO FINISH - Knott has one of the most favorable jockey ROI's on the grounds, returning to wagerers +25 percent. With a nice Equibase class rating average of 58, has one of the best class advantages in this field.

Race 3 - Maiden Claiming - 4.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $11800 Class Rating: 50

FOR MICHIGAN-BRED MAIDENS, TWO YEAR OLDS. WEIGHT, 118 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $25,000.

# 7 SQUIRT GUN 8/5

# 1 THE ELUSIVE DUKE 5/2

# 5 ROYAL LARKSPUR 10/1

SQUIRT GUN looks very strong to best this field. This racer is at the top in this group in earnings per start at the distance/surface. May wake up with Lasix change (with second time Lasix) today. Will most likely compete soundly in the early speed battle which bodes well with this group. THE ELUSIVE DUKE - Change in Lasix (with second time Lasix) may be the key to a turnaround. Should compete quite well in the early pace battle which bodes well with this group of horses. ROYAL LARKSPUR - Have to look at solely on class, with some of the top class figs of this group of horses. When Penner uses Knott there's a good chance for an increase in income.

Race 4 - Claiming - 4.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $8500 Class Rating: 56

# 4 THATSA SOBEE 6/1

# 6 DOLLEEWOOD 5/1

# 3 BRITT'S LIL NASTY 10/1

I've got to go with THATSA SOBEE. Should go off at a solid price and has some positive angles going for her. Must be carefully examined given the class of races run as of late. Has been running solidly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. DOLLEEWOOD - With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Barrios will most likely have this mare in excellent position to win the contest. Have to consider solely on class, with some of the best class figures of this group.

Race 5 - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $10500 Class Rating: 53

# 2 GRAND APACHE MAID 7/2

# 4 RADIO REPLY 4/1

# 5 GUNS AND GIGGLES 6/1

I like GRAND APACHE MAID here. Trainer boasts strong win figures at this distance and surface. Looks solid against this group and should be one of the front-runners. RADIO REPLY - With a nice class rating average of 61, has one of the best class advantages in this group. Solid average speed figures in dirt sprint races make this animal a solid choice. GUNS AND GIGGLES - Make a note that this horse runs with second time Lasix today. When Rupert uses Bernal there's a good chance for winnings.

# 4 DEMABELLA 3/1

# 6 VALLEY TOWN 2/1

# 5 DIAMOND FLEET 7/2

DEMABELLA looks to be a very good contender. Could best this field here, showing very strong figures of late. Bettors should take a good look at this one as this mare has one of the best win percentages at this distance in this group. Should be given a shot here if only for the decent speed figure garnered in the last contest. VALLEY TOWN - Ought to come out very strong - I have liked the way this mare has moved speedily to the front end recently. Must be given consideration - I like the figs from the last outing. DIAMOND FLEET - Rettele has a sharp win percent with horses moving in dirt sprint races. With Delgado in the saddle guiding her, this filly ought to be able to break out quickly here.

Race 7 - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $6200 Class Rating: 77

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NOT WON THREE RACES SINCE FEBRUARY 28. THREE YEAR OLDS, 118 LBS.; OLDER, 123 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF TWO RACES SINCE JUNE 29 ALLOWED 3 LBS. A RACE SINCE THEN ALLOWED 6 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $4,000.

# 1A THE SCATMAN COMETH 5/1

# 2 YOU HAVE MY WORD 7/2

# 4 GENERAL PAT 5/2

THE SCATMAN COMETH figures to be the wager in here. Displays sound Equibase speed figs on average overall when put alongside the rest of this field. He has very strong class ratings, averaging 88, and has to be given consideration for this event. Is worth looking at and may be a bet - strong Speed Figures (76 average) at today's distance and surface lately. YOU HAVE MY WORD - Adkins has shown excellent profits (+1 return on investment ) with horses in dirt sprint events. Has been running admirably lately and will probably be up near the lead early on. GENERAL PAT - The average Equibase class figure of 70 makes this horse hard to beat. Ran a sharp last race.

# 6 HONOLULU BLUE 8/1

# 1 BRASS DIXIE 7/2

# 3 PURDY TRICKY 5/2

My pick here is HONOLULU BLUE especially at a such a nice price. Conditioner has sharp win rate (16 percent) at this distance and surface. Looks solid versus this field and will probably be one of the early speedsters. Has the look of a profitable play. BRASS DIXIE - Should best this field here, showing respectable figs of late. Will more than likely be one of the front-runners of the bunch going into the halfway point of the contest. PURDY TRICKY - With a competitive 57 speed figure last time out, will surely be a factor in this competition. It's a good sign that Spiess is using Molina on this entrant.
