The Meadowlands starts the weekend with a carryover in the 0.50 Pick 5 of $28,976 which facilitates a $100,000 guaranteed pool. The Pick 5 pool is expected to grow north of $200,000. In Race 13 there will be a mandatory Super Hi-5 Jackpot payout. The pool currently sits at $276,939 and it wouldn't be a surprise if it traveled above $1,000,000 by post time.
Tomorrow night there is a huge card at the Big M with over $2.5 million in purses and the headliner will be the Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace.
Xpressbet account holders will need to register to take advantage of a 10X Exacta & Trifecta Points Bonus on Saturday's card.
Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.
2-Kredit Karma-In a perfect spot to get good early seat and can finish well.
6-Kings County-Drew off in a 1:56 last half in 56.4, last 1/4-27.2. Major threats with a smooth trip.
3-Bupa Bruiser-Hasn't been in the best form but takes a good drop and deserves respect.
4-Rocket J-Used very hard from the 9-hole, has speed but needs the right trip.
5-Roger Mach EM-Has struggled to win at the Big M but gets Tetrick and this isn't an all-star cast.
7-Outcry-Rates and edge on consistency in an open affair. Usually in the mix on this oval.
5-French Cafe-Handy filly who starts inside of main foes. Zeron takes a seat, could trip out from here.
7-Whispering Oaks-Impressive win from 8-hole coming off a break. Looks like a major player if minds manners.
8-Mother Bonnie-Rolled away with a 56.4 back half, can score an encore with a decent trip.
1-Commentariat-Fits with this crew, winner of 2 of 7 at the Big M should be in the mix.
2-So Take That-9-year-old woke up in last and won in 1:50.2. Steps up but will use and likes this track.
3-Griffon Hanover-Drops to a level of past success, this looks like a spot to shine.
7-Maajaackobe-Looking for a price, used hard off the gate and finished well. Drops to a more comfortable spot.
2-Greenshoe-Showed determination after breaking early, best to respect chances for a repeat.
5-Battenberg-Zipped to 3/4's in 1:25.2, Trixton 2-year-old looks like a good one.
