The 3-day, Friday-Sunday, racing week kicks off with a $226,036 Rainbow 6 jackpot carryover ($400,000-guaranteed pool) … This week’s feature race will be Saturday’s $75,000 Mr. Steele Stakes for turf males … 2021 Pegasus World Cup runner-up Jesus’ Team disappointed in his return from a Dubai layoff in the July 11 City of Dania overnight stakes, finishing fifth … Papetu, sidelined since finishing off the board in the Florida Derby, returned successfully July 10 to capture the Carry Back Stakes and perhaps earn a trip to Saratoga for the Grade 1 H. Allen Jerkens for 3-year-old sprinters … The 2021 Florida Sire Stakes series kicks off July 31 with the Dr. Fager and Desert Vixen for the juveniles … The Kelly Breen-trained Pickin’ Time, fourth in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes in January during the Gulfstream Park Championship Meet, is among the probable starters for Saturday’s Grade 1 Haskell at Monmouth, which will be drawn Wednesday.
