Players who exceed the host’s cumulative mutuel total in any weekly competition automatically qualify for the XB Beat the Host Championship Round Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Championship Round XB Showdown Qualifiers:

Sweep the Host Bonus:
A $5,000 Sweep the Host Bonus will be awarded to any single player who exceeds the host’s cumulative mutuel total in each of eight qualifying rounds. If two or more players qualify the prize will be divided equally among tied players. If no player wins the Bonus, a $2,000 Consolation Prize will be awarded to the player who is the last to lose to the host in weekly competition. In case of ties the prize will be divided evenly between tied players.

Players who qualify for the Championship Round by defeating the host at least once will play for the following prizes. This is a closed competition. Only players who qualify will be eligible to compete:
- 1st — $5,000
- 2nd — $4,000
- 3rd — $3,000
- 4th — $1,000
- 5th - 10th — $500
Things You Should Know:
Contest wagers must be made online only (no teller or automated phone system wagers) and must be submitted via the Contest Wager Pad or via Mobile Contest Wager Pad only. Player wagering accounts will be credited with winnings for all competition wagers and debited for all losing wagers. Mutuel payoffs are capped at 20-1 ($105) for contest scoring purposes. Scratched horses count zero in the competition. If a player has submitted a Contest Wager on a scratched horse, the player may submit a second single $5 ‘live’ win wager on another horse in the race before the race is run and once the scratch has been processed by the tote.
Ties for Prizes
All weekly competition ties between player and host go to the host. Prize for tied position and prize for next lowest position will be combined and the total will be divided evenly among all tied players.
Ties for Seats
AFirst Tie-breaker--The player with the single highest winning mutuel payoff of all tied players will be ranked above the others. If a tie still remains, the player with the second-highest single mutuel payoff of all tied players will be ranked above the others. This process will continue until the tie is broken.
If two (2) or more players remain tied after the first tie-breaker procedure has been exhausted, the final tie-breaker will go to the player who chronologically is first to register for the Beat the Host tournament.
