Knicks Go is the best horse in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, but I am picking Essential Quality to take him down in the stretch. He loves to control the pace under jockey Joel Rosario, but he has never gone 1 1/8 miles. I believe he will hold off Medina Spirit in the first half-mile, but Essential Quality will track him into the stretch and win the race. Hot Rod Charlie is always a contender and should finish in the trifecta or superfecta, and I will go with Art Collector, who is capable of an upset, to finish fourth.
