Let us be the very first to wish you Happy New Year!

Too late? No matter. Sentiment’s the same.

One way to get the New Year off on the right foot, or hoof, as the case may be, is to register and play Xpressbet’s fun, popular and potentially profitable $60,000 Beat the Host tournament. It’s a great way to either initially dip your toe into tournament waters or to traverse a paved avenue toward coveted seats in several rich tournaments. If you’ve been with Xpressbet for a very long time, you’ve probably experienced Beat the Host. Well, it’s baaaack and it’s better than ever.

Register once, now, and play each Saturday in January and February for $2,000 in weekly awards. Beat the Host’s total just once to advance to the $15,000 Championship Round. Additionally, players also will compete for $22,500 in Cumulative Seasonal prizes, as well as a $6,500 Sweep the Host Bonus that goes to any player to top hosts in all eight weeks.

The weekly competition requires players to make a ‘live’ $10 Win wager on one horse in each of 10 competition races (Total $50). The top earner will pocket $1,000, with $750 to second and $250 to third. A positive aspect of Beat the Host is that since competition wagers are ‘live’ players keep what they win. A successful wager or two along the way will cover an afternoon’s entertainment.

This year’s roster of hosts is an outstanding collection of handicappers. Jeremy Plonk again bats leadoff Saturday, Jan. 8 and will be followed by XBTV and Santa Anita’s Millie Ball Jan. 15. Arcadia morning line architect Jon White follows in week 3, just in front of HRTV & Xpressbet handicapper Jeff Siegel Jan. 29. White and Siegel originally served as BTH fixtures over 15 years ago. Gulfstream’s Ron Nicoletti is the man to beat Feb. 5, followed by Santa Anita analyst and VIP Concierge Tom Quigley Feb. 12. Hallandale-based prognosticator Acacia Courtney serves as penultimate host Feb. 19, just before 1/ST and NBC Sports analyst and handicapper Eddie Olcyzk anchors the final lap Feb. 26.

It’s the beginning of a long year (hopefully, not as long as the last two have seemed), and Beat the Host is a fantastic place to start a successful wagering experience. Register to play today at www.xpressbet.com/beat-the-host and we’ll see you Saturday!
