The Red Mile will conclude Grand Circuit racing for this year with a star-studded 12 race card. The Pick 4 begins in Race 9 and is an interesting sequence which will be my focus. The top five finishers in Race 9 and Race 10 will return in Race 13 and battle for a share of a $420,000 purse. Two divisions of the Tattersalls Pace for 3-year-olds will take place in Race 11 and Race 12. The co-features will carry purses of $200,000 and $206,000 respectively.

Last night at Mohawk my Pick 4 ticket was unfortunately only correct in two legs. This comment tuned out to be prophetic-4-Mr Wiggle Pants-10-1 in the ML and McNair's choice over #7 who is 3-1. Interesting and I'll bite. Doug McNair made the correct choice bringing home a $17.00 winner in Race 8, while #7 finished off the board.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 9
3-Long Tom-Hasn't been a sharp as some others but looking for a bounce back. May take advanatge of inside start.
6-International Moni-Will be tough to beat if repeats 10/1 performance, the logical choice.
7-Bill's Man-Finished ahead of #6 on 9/16 at Moh, usually in the hunt and with the right trip could be dangerous.

Race 10
1-Dover Dan-Last outing from the 8 hole was a huge effort, could come right back with another big try.
5-Devious Man-Hasn't won in a while but likes the track and should be tighter, was off almost a month before last.

Race 11
2-Mike's Z Tam-Looking for a price, has been sharp and if there is a speed duel could be rolling late.
3-Huntsville-Probably gunning out as usual and if catches an 1/8 of a mile breather, is the likely winner.

Race 12
2-Fear The Dragon-Last Jug heat was a dud but this is a different assignment. Best can top #1, the ML chalk.
7-Art Scene-Looking for a price and if #1 or #2 push the pace to the extreme could sweep by and shock both.
