Pompano Park has a 13-race Monday night program with the 0.50 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 10. The sequence will have a $15,000 guaranteed pool with a 12% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 10

1-Captain Terror (5/2)-Miller picked #6 so Hennessey gets the assignment. Should be handled aggressively and fits with this crew.
4-John Mac (6-1)-Does its best work when stalking and making one big move to take control. That script could play out here.
5-R J P (3-1)-Eight-year-old drops to a soft spot and has the gate speed to get on the point and not look back. Looking for its 1st win at the Pomp, and the 6th try might be the one.

Race 11

1-Aquillo (7-1)-Comes off a string of even efforts and gets both post and class relief tonight. Looking for an efficient trip and could land in the pocket behind #6.
6-Forbidden Song (9/2)-Boyd should have the pedal down from the word "go' and if he can steal a quarter, it could be picture time.
8-Glide In The Wind (6-1)-Came off cover on a sloppy track to beat this kind last week. Chindano will need to get a good seat and look for a live cover flow. Should offer a solid price and likes the Pomp, has hit the board in 32 of 61 starts with 11 wins.

Race 12

4-Machiatto A (5-1)-Has been trying hard and now gets some class relief in the 5th PPk start. Meittinis can be aggressive from this post and has some gate speed. If the pilot does his job this veteran should be in the hunt at the wire.
6-King Corona (5/2)-Dropped and popped last week on a sloppy track with a well-meant effort. Can compete with this group and Wallis should have in striking range turning for the wire.

Race 13

1-Noble Legend (4-1)-Lands in a soft spot and may finally post the 1st win at the Pomp (0-10). Plano should have enough gate speed to protect the rail and could trip out for an overdue win.
2-Dragin The Wagon (15-1)-Price shot does its best work racing near the top of the stack and finally draws inside. This will be the 2nd start off a sick scratch and Boyd should have the 12-year-old forwardly placed throughout. This is a beatable field and is worth a wing at this price.
