Tonight, Hawthorne Racecourse has a 9-race program scheduled. The 0.50 Pick 4 starts in Race 6. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Feeling Like A Ten (5/2)-The last Hawthorne start was dull before that the preceding 2 were good. Will respect chances drawing inside and was off about 2 weeks before the last race.
4-Advance Man (9/2)-Hooked wheels at the start last week and lost all chance. Came off even efforts but did attract some money and went off at 9/5. Looking for an aggressive try and should benefit with this post draw.
7-Fox Valley Lynrd (4-1)-Slow starter has 1-move and can usually close well. Did rally in last off a tough trip, using here thinking there will be an honest pace and Leonard will do his job.

Race 7

1-Found My Rock (3-1)-Stayed inside in last but that effort came after being off almost 2 weeks. Husted's pick over #5 and he shouldn't get caught inside tonight.
4-Dilly Dilly Time (7/2)-Competitive mare makes things harder due to slow starts but is in the mix at the wire. Fits well and best to respect the connections.
8-Zero Net Profit (6-1)-Finished a close 2nd in last from post 9 and the Agosti trainee should be ready to battle again. The post helps the price and Wilfong should have in play.

Race 8

3-Vel Donna (5-1)-Could be in the hunt with this post draw. Will take a swing that if anyone is going to upset #8 Donna is the one.
8-Maggie Rhee (2-1)-Winner of 2 straight and 8 of 11 in Stickney is the one to beat. This might be a more difficult test with the outside post, but this Wilson entry appears a cut above the rest with a fair trip.

Race 9

4-High Intensity (7/2)-Drew off by 3 lengths versus this kind in last, and from the same post. It should be go-time again for team Leonard.
5-Walter White (7/2)-Dropped to this level in last and had a good try leaving from post 8. Might be ready to seal the deal in the 3rd start of the meet.
6-Reign And Shine (3-1)-Five-year-old mare drops out of the Opens and has hit the board in 19 of 35 at Haw with 7 wins. This could be a drop and pop situation and Wilfong picked over #3.

0.50 Pick 4
