Cal Expo has a 9-race program set to roll with the 0.20 Pick 4 starting in Race 6. The sequence has a $30,000 guaranteed pool with a 16% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Captain Terminator (6-1)-Drops out of Opens and won at this condition on 2-4. Could take the lead off the gate and not look back, the same plan worked back in December.
3-Rockinscience (9/2)-Also drops out of Opens and cashed 2nd place checks twice versus this kind in February. Team Plano should have this 5-year-old dialed on high for a big try.
4-Frewil Dakota Sven (8/5)-This another dropper out of Open company who has been in the hunt but has fallen short. May try to get on the engine versus this crew.

Race 7

3-Giggle Monster (5/2)-Steps-up after wiring the $6k claimers from post 8. Roland trainee won 11 of 24 in 2021 and could stay good for another.
5-Bombay Hanover (9/2)-Beat NW2500 on 2-18 and fits with this crew. Svendsen should have this 6-year-old forwardly placed and this is another who could make it 2 straight.
6-Imma Tank (5-1)-Small field shouldn't hurt this trip dependent 9-year-old. Could offer a price if Stewart finds live cover.

Race 8

3-Casa Miasa (7/2)-Not loving the short price on the morning line as this mare is 0-10 this year. But could get sucked around and roll by late if others battled for the lead.
4-Lickcreek Speedway (8/5)-Team Kennedy trainee is looking for its 3rd straight and comes off a dominant performance versus this kind. Best to respect despite the small price.

Race 9

3-Mibwest Kid (9/5)-Was used off the gate and still finished strong to take a picture versus this kind in last. Roland should be able to work an efficient trip and looks like a main player.
4-Mt Sterling Mafia (2-1)-This veteran is 0-30 the past 2 years but has cashed checks versus better. This looks like a chalky race and the short price isn't easy to embrace but should be a threat with a fair trip.
