The feature at Mohawk on a Friday's ten race card comes in race 9, a Preferred Pace with a $30,000 purse. The Late 0.20  Pick 4 begins in Race 7 and it is an interesting sequence.  It is my hope to click on the correct combo and the payoff more than justifies the risk. 

Last night at Mohawk, Trevor Henry and Doug McNair had one win each as they are neck and neck for the driving title. That race will be decided tomorrow night as will the combination for the mandatory Jackpot Hi 5 payout. The carryover is currently $978,779 and it wouldn't be a shock if the pool grows to $3,000,000 or more. Saturday's closing night card will be covered here in detail.

Race 7

2 - Mach Code - 4th start since a rest and drops again looking for a spot to shine, this could be it.

4 - Adore Him - Toss last from 8 hole versus tougher, fits better here and Jamieson gets another swing.

5 - East End - Moves inside and company suits, can beat this group at a square price if fires.

6 - Paparazzi Hanover - Not a bad effort in 1st start at this level and if better tonight could be posing. 

Race 8

1 - Mego Moss - Has flattened out lately but in from FlmD and knows how to win, could be sitting on a big try.

3 - PL Jerico - Likes to be on the engine and it looks like an early lead won't be get tough to get. 

4 - Exquisite Glide - McNair won in same spot on 8/8 and he will likely get good striking position tonight.

Race 9

1 - Wrangler Magic - Has faced tough foes, moves inside and should be dialed on high for Roy-Allard. 

5 - Sandbetweenurtoes - This mare likes to win and may not flinch with the bump up in class. 

6 - P L Hurricane - Shooting against ML chalk #8, so here's another who could pop at a square price.

Race 10

1 - Wanda Bayama - Missed a start before last when dropping to this level, may finally get a win in an ugly race.

4 - Kiss Me Or Not - Fresh horse, Drury may work a good trip from this post and should be in the hunt.

6 - Ninette B - In a toss-up race will look to McNair who came within 3/4 of a length of a win on 8/14.

8 - Maxim Seelster - Has raced well in last 3 versus lesser and will use in a race without any all-stars.
