Tonight, the feature at Hawthorne goes in Race 4 when Illinois bred trotters battle for a $30,000 purse. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 5. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Race 5

2-Rollin Coal (7/2)-Comes off 2 competitive tries and was compromised in last due to some soft fractions. Franco should make the most of the post draw. Could look to sit inside near the top of the stack and roll by down the lane.
5-My Uptowne Girl (2-1)-Came off cover to take a picture at this class last week. Has hit the board in 41 of 80 starts in Stickney with 17 wins, looks like a main player tonight.

Race 6

1-Aunt Percilla (2-1)-Closed in last to cash a 3rd place check and now moves inside from post 7. Leonard returns for his 2nd tour of duty, and he should have this mare forwardly placed. The 1-29 record at Haw is cause for pause but the morning line chalk should be in the hunt.
5-Loulita (5/2)-This mare is looking for its 1st win as a 4-year-old. Winner in 10 of 28 at Haw could snag an overdue picture versus this bunch but needs a good steer.

Race 7

1-Sweet Sweet Connie (25-1)-This longshot is 0 for 3 on Lasix but has been used hard off the gate in all 3 starts. Oosting sticks, gets post relief and will look for a more efficient trip in a race without a standout.
5-Rollnroz (4-1)-Hasn't raced since 9-25 but comes off a decent qualifier on 3-12. Trigg trainee did win 11 of 19 starts as a freshman and should be a threat if fires hot off the bench.
7-Pattycake Mooss (4-1)-Posted 2 nice wins in February and then was scratched sick. Comes off an even effort after missing that start and would be tough to beat with a return to previous form.

Race 8

1-Suddenly Royal (6-1)-Using with the driver change to Seekman plus drawing the rail could help. Looks like a solid price and fits with this crew.
5-U'll Learn (4-1)-Won at this class on 1-8, and only #9 shows a win at this level. Does its best work racing near the top and that script could play out here.
