Yonkers Raceway has a solid 10-race card ready to go. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 7, and the sequence will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7

2-Joesstar Of Mia A (2-1)-Was put away for a rest in mid-June and came off the bench with a solid effort versus a tough winner on 8-2. Steps-up, drops in for a $100k tag and beat Open company here in the spring. Thinking this 9-year-old will be driven aggressively with this post draw.
3-Barbados (5/2)-Winner of 2 straight and after the last victory it appears the Bako trainee will perform well versus the $100k claimers. Not sure the win streak continues but has been too good to leave out. Has finished 1st or 2nd in 22 YR starts. (14-8-1)
4-Air Force Hanover (6-1)-Claimed by Gillis on 7-25 and finished a distant 2nd to #3 on 9-8. Comes right back in 6 days this time to make the 2nd start for new connections. Should be sharper and could offer a square price.

Race 8

2-American Courage (3-1)-Races best near the top of the stack and should be there with this post draw. The regular pilot Kakaley missed a start, but he will be back between the pipes tonight.
4-Funatthebeach N (6-1)-Recent form has been spotty. But fits well with this bunch and the connections could be looking to seize an opportunity from a good post. Could be on the point or in the pocket and either can work for a picture.

Race 9

2-El Jacko N (3-1)-Makes the 1st start for the Dowse barn off a claim on 7-25. This barn is cruising along at 43% winners over the last 30 days and will get the services of Bartlett as well. That pilot is also hot, winning at a strong 29% over the same period.
4-American Boy N (9/2)-Team Stratton entry has been in the hunt in every race since being claimed back on 6-4 for $40,000 except the last start on 8-1. Will excuse the dull try with the trainer between the pipes. Should offer a solid price and best to respect chances.

Race 10

1-Don Domingo N (9/2)-Di Domenico pupil has cashed 3rd and 4th place checks at this level since being claimed on 6-20. Doesn't win often but comes right back in sequence and could land in the pocket and trip out for a picture.
2-Rockathon (20-1)-Looking to fade the 9/5 choice (4) who has faded down the lane in the last 3 starts and will be a tiny price. This won't be a popular choice but the price will be right. Tries hard and has been in the mix when drawing well. Looking for a lively pace and this 7-year-old could be rolling hard late.
3-Change Stride N (5-1)-Doesn't usual blast out so needs a trip. From this post Buter should get a decent seat. If the pace is quick this guy can pass foes down the lane and is another who will offer a nice price.
