Woodbine Mohawk Park has a star-studded card ready to roll this evening. The headliners are the Maple Leaf Trot and the Canadian Pacing Deby. The 0.20 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 9, and it will be my focus.

Race 9-Canadian Pacing Derby Final-$650,000 Purse

2-Jimmy Freight (4-1)-Jimmy has never been better and with a good trip he could take top honors.
4-Bulldog Hanover (6/5)-Looking for 9 straight and there isn't a strong argument to make it can't happen. Should be battling #2 for the Derby picture.

Race 10

5-Voelz Delight (4-1)-Missed a week and switched barns but still can be a threat versus this kind. Filion may blast out and look to control things from the point. If not, a pocket trip behind the chalk could work well too.
6-So Much More (6/5)-Top-notch versatile mare has been unbeatable since the end of July and should be a small price. Looking for the 5th win in a row and this race will need to go through her.

Race 11

1-Sintra (9/2)-Comes off a dominant win and has been sharp since joining the Poulton barn in early July. May have gotten a fortunate trip at Chrtn but make no mistake it was a top performance. There is no reason to dismiss with JMac between the pipes and leaving from the rail shouldn't hurt.
2-Codename Cigar Box (3-1)-Has set and equaled its lifetime mark in the last 2 races and one start was from past 10. This 4-year-old loves to win and has cashed the biggest check in 13 of 22 in 2022. Could be just starting another run, won 5 in a row from the end of May to mid-July.

Race 12

2-Control Heaven (3-1)-Mitchell trainee was stuck inside at 3/5 and the race was over when finally shook loose. McNair won the last battle with #6 but thinking he will not steal quarters tonight. Roy can do better and this time at a fair price.
3-Tookadiveoffdipper (5-1)-Has hit the board in 3 of 6 here with 1 picture and fits with this bunch. Expecting a big try and this race could have a lively pace. JMac may find some cover and be the fastest down the lane.
5-Commanding Officer (4-1)-Looking for some rest and the new barn to make a difference. Has won 7 of 23 at Wbsb, Filion gets the call and that should help. Best to respect, has beaten better than this.
10-Woodmere Stealdeal (8-1)-Auciello has tuned this 4-year-old up with 2 nice qualifiers and could fire hot off the bench. Has the gate speed to get a good early seat and the price should be solid.
