Northfield Park has a 14-race card scheduled to complete the weekend. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11

3-Carolina Beach (5/2)-Raced well in its return to Nfld to finish 3rd versus Open company and drops here. This veteran should enjoy competing with this group and has won 14 of 49 at Nfld.
7-Saulsbrook Genesis (2-1)-Likes to get on the engine and control the mile. That plan has resulted in a good deal of success and has led to 8 wins in 22 races this season. Wrenn can utilize the big gate speed this Burke trainee possesses. Should be out and rolling looking for the top again.

Race 12

1-Stalkingme Hanover (2-1)-Finds a soft spot and draws inside. Although the line was flat did show some life versus $15k claimers and finished the mile with a 54.4 last half. Davis should have this 4-year-old in striking range at the 3/4 pole.
3-Magic Joe Lindy (5/2)-Recent form has been dull and gets the services of Merriman and maybe he can wake-up the Looney trainee. Is worth a play because has enough early speed to gain a good seat and possibly trip out. But doesn't warrant a tiny price.
6-Revenant Blue Chip (5-1)-This will be the 4th try on Lasix and evidently Myers thought the last start was "go" time. Broke 2nd and pulled before the 1/4, never got the top and was hung the mile. Can offer a solid price and the trip really can't get much worse.

Race 13

1-Full Moon Beach (5/2)-Steps-up after a nice win leaving from the 2nd tier. Ended up being 2nd off the gate from post 9 and was bet down to 2/5. Using and has shown the ability to cash checks with this kind and better. Drawing the rail could make for another trip to the winner's circle.
4-Cocosfella A (6-1)-Fits at this level and broke stride at the start in last and lost all chance. The race before was on a sloppy track and cashed a 3rd place check versus better. Looks like a price play that could be overlooked at the windows.
5-Amadeus As (8/5)-This program chalk should have his way with this group but not feeling like this is a layup. This is the lowest level since coming to town but hasn't been able to finish miles. Will likely be bet hard with Merriman and will use and look to the others with more value.

Race 14

3-MVP Luke (4-1)-Comes off a scratch at a Fair race on 9-14 but will assume there will be no issues here. Should fit well and can use the post edge on some of the top players to an advantage. Does well at Nfld, has hit the board in 26 of 44 with 8 pictures. This 7-year-old leads the field in 2022 earnings and should be difficult to catch if gets the top early on.
