Sunday's 12-race card at Rosecroft Raceway will feature an Open Handicap Pace with a $10,000 purse. I will be looking at Race 8 as well as the Early and Late Daily Doubles.
It was a quite a Saturday night at Hoosier Park as Hannelore Hanover became the first trotting mare to beat the boys since Moni Maker in 1998. To add to the accomplishment Hannelore Hanover is an Indiana bred. Actually, there were also two other Breeders Crown winners, Fiftydollarbill and Beckhams Z Tam that are Indiana breds and have local connections. So, it certainly was a storybook night for Indiana harness racing.
Last night, my top picks didn't perform as well as hoped. But the winners of races 7,9,10 and 11 did come from my top three selections.
Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.
Race 1
6-Dunn Dealin-Thinking pace will be quick and Plante will be in striking position to roll by late.
7-Fashion Smile-Won 2 back even with ix break and now gets post relief. Competes and will respect.
Race 2
1-Rodeo Blues-11-time winner in '17 finally gets an inside post draw, will take a swing at 9-1 in the ML.
$2 Daily Double
6,7/1
Total Bet=$4.00
Race 8 Open Handicap Purse $10,000
3-Rocktavious-Should get a good early seat and make presence felt.
4-Rock 'N Roll Jet-Stuck outside in 2 straight and should be in the hunt with this post draw.
8-Hickory Aloha-Could fly off the car and could get top and have control throughout.

3,4,8
Total Bet=$12.00
Race 11
6-Riggy-Passed a few in lane in last and could be sitting on a big try.
