Hoosier Park begins the weekend with a 14-race card featuring Indiana Sires Stakes action. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11, and the sequence will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11

1-Truman's Court (4-1)-Starting from the rail shouldn't hurt and will need a top effort to beat this crew. Could land an efficient trip and should be forwardly placed.
2-B Medithree (5-1)-Comes off an aggressive drive that took its toll versus this kind on 9-28. Makes the 1st start for the Cross barn and he will do the steering as well. Looking for better and could have found a beatable field.
4-Northern Rocks (5/2)-The 1-15 record in 2022 is cause for concern but is usually in the hunt and has speed. May find a bit more courage versus this bunch.

Race 12

2-Bridge To Success (5-1)-Has been cashing checks versus Open 3 company and should be in the mix. The Welch barn has clicked at a 24% clip over the past 30 days, so best to respect. De Long should work a good trip from this post and could take a picture at a square price.
5-Bluebird Maverick (6-1)-Steps-up after a nice win off a ground saving trip as a 5/2 chalk. Should be a better price and could top this crew if Widger provides a sharp steer.
6-Predator And Prey (3-1)-Blasted out from post 9 and got a good early seat when facing Open 3 company. Finished 2nd at 11-1 in the 1st start this season at HoP. Gets a new pilot in Tetrick and should be a player. Has hit the board in 18 of 28 at Hoosier with 6 wins.

Race 13

7-Marvelous Marshia (2-1)-Program chalk has won 3 straight and probably will be bet hard again. This post draw may make it more difficult to take top honors but it's risky to go against. Marshia's has an impressive HoP record (21-9-4-4).
9-Trick Of The Light (5/2)-Brian Brown trainee is back from Delaware and earned a couple of checks without getting great trips. Makes the 3rd start on Lasix, has hit the board in 14 of 18 at HoP with 8 pictures and could be sitting on a big try.

Race 14

4-Soaring Now (8/5)-Winner of 2 straight has been on a roll versus this kind and is in a nice spot to keep winning at a short price. Putnam should work a favorable journey from this post and get the jump on the field. Recent form of #2 & #3 hasn't been great and others who could be a threat start outside or in the 2nd tier. If this 3-year-old brings a similar effort as in the last 2 starts he will be difficult to beat.
