The finest Indiana Breds will be competing for more than $2.3 million in purses on Hoosier Champions night. There will be eight Super Finals on the card for 2 & 3-year-olds, each with a $250,000 purse. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 12. The sequence has a $20,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 12

3-Always Gonna B You (12-1)-This filly shouldn't be 12-1 but hoping so. Came on swiftly down the lane after being locked in on the rail. Last week was the 1st start since 9-19 and the 1st time back at HoP since 7-23. Could be sitting on a big try.
6-JK's Rollin Baby (8/5)-Comes off 2 powerful decisive wins and is a main player. My only concern is this being the 3rd start in 14 days, and we are coming to the end of the season. Otherwise, should be difficult to down.
10-Marvelous Marsha (7/2)-Winner of 4 in a row has hit the board in 12 of 13 this year and shouldn't be counted out despite starting in the 2nd tier. The 2 has gate speed and De Long could land in a decent early seat. The faster the pace the better because Marsha can fly late.

Race 13

3-Coach Stefanos (8/5)-Took no prisoners in a 1.50 romp versus this kind on 10-6. That was the 2nd start on Lasix and it really kicked in. This Miller trainee rolled the 2nd half in 54.1 and coasted home with a .27 final panel after coming 1st over. Stringing along and looking for more of the same.

Race 14

1-Sure Thing Herman (5-1)-Had little chance off a tough trip from post 11. Did finish willingly to come on for 4th and now could get back to its winning ways starting from the rail. Bender has some options with this post draw and the 3-year-old knows his way to the HoP winner's circle (16-8-1-3).
3-Big Law (15-1)-Started from the 2nd tier, had an issue around the opening turn and raced wide for the entire way. Needless to say, that trip didn't end well but was game for most of the mile. Miller could work a sweet journey and be in striking range turning for the wire.
5-Soaring Now (6/5)-Winner of 3 straight showed some guts down the lane and has won 9 of 17 at HoP. Stutzman trainee is ultra sharp, and the race probably goes through this 3-year-old.

Race 15

5-BB Lucky Boy (2-1)-Has the gate speed to land on the point or right behind the main foe below. Dunn needs to ration the speed and this pilot will keep the George trainee in play from start to finish.
6-Ultra Image (5/2)-This is the other George pupil with Tetrick between the pipes and is probably the one to beat on this oval. Should be racing on the point or close to it and the HoP record of (15-5-3-2) is one to respect.
