Al Cimaglia: Meadowlands Late Pick 4 Analysis | Saturday, December 3, 2022

The Meadowlands has a 14-race card set to go and the 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 10. The sequence has a $50,000 guaranteed pool with a 15% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 10

2-Anna Afreet N (6-1)-Beaten chalk was used hard off the gate and faded late in the mile. Gingras takes the lines and starts from post 2 instead of the 7 hole. Comes back versus the same kind and will look for a rebound. Does own 10 wins in 51 Big M starts.
6-Crunch Time A (4-1)-Steps-up again in search of its 3rd straight picture and Dunn grabs the lines. Rolled the back half in 54.1 for a sharp score from post 8. Not sure how good this 6-year-old can be in the US but tackling this field seems like a good possibility.

Race 11

4-Elegant Dulupin FR (8-1)-To say this French invader hasn't lived up to expectations would be an understatement and has burned some bettors. Usually isn't a good idea to chase money but looks worthy of a swing here at what should be a much better price. Tries Lasix for the 2nd time and can be in the hunt if minds manners.
6-Tad Krazy Hanover (3-1)-Steps-up after a sharp score from post 10. Made every call a winning one last week and may follow the same game plan here.

Race 12

2-Win Place'n Show (9/2)-Came off the bench and took a picture. Now moves-up but should fit well with this group and encore could be in the cards.
4-Revelry (3-1)-Joe B returns to the playing field and this 6-year-old falls into a very soft spot. Could be a drop and pop situation.

Race 13

1-Bobcat Bay (6-1)-Recorded a win and a 4th place finish at this class back in June. Has started outside in the last 3, and has got away from the gate slowly. May have met a beatable field and could surprise at a price if starts alertly.
7-Truffle Dog (3-1)-Needed to go 4-wide down the lane and was out closed. Drops here and looks like a major player.
8-Paduka N (7/2)-Yonkers veteran raced well last week at M1 to finish 2nd in a quick mile. Drops and moves outside but has the gate speed to race near the top of the stack. Might be overlooked, will need a sharp steer, and Stratton can provide one.
