Golden Gate Fields will feature an $8,717 carryover pool for the track’s Jackpot Pick 6 wager this Friday, April 7. Hold the lone winning ticket and you could turn a 20-cent base bet into a five-figure score. Here’s a look at the action:

GG 3rd Race (5:15 EST) -- GET MY POINT rates a slight edge in an evenly-matched field of unproven milers. She tracked the dueling leaders and ‘responded’ when asked for run, but she couldn’t reach the 4-to-5 winner. She gets upgraded after the winner, She’s Resilient, came back to wire the field again in a $50,000 optional claiming race and the third-place finisher, Turiaf, broke her maiden as the favorite. RAUCOUS TIZZY exits the same race, was bothered some by Turiaf midway on the final turn, then passed a couple tiring rivals to get a spot on the ticket. SMART KITTEN set a moderate pace in a race against the boys that produced two winners, but she was no match when the 31-1 winner came calling.

GG 4th Race (5:45 EST) -- WORTHY OF MAGIC led clear at the stretch call in three of her last four starts, holding on for a win and a second. She set her fastest pace last out and tired to finish 2-1/4 lengths behind Work To Live, who returned with a wire-to-wire allowance victory. She is quick from the gate and can make good use of her speed in this field despite carrying 127 pounds. SEEMS LOGICAL chased the aforementioned Work To Live through slow fractions and finished second on the stretch-out to 1-1/16 miles. She plays to a steady beat and is a logical contender. NAUGHTY NADINE is 5/1-2-1 at the distance, usually offers some kind of middle move and has won twice when she drew the rail.

GG 5th Race (6:15 EST) -- BIG STRIKE set a solid, pressured pace off a 15-month layoff but gave way in the final sixteenth at this distance. She finished in front of Hannah In A Hurry, who came back to win an $8,000 maiden claimer by 4-1/4 lengths. ABBEY OOPS showed speed until the stretch in her MSW debut, not bad considering the 2-1 winner averaged a 60 Beyer in her last five starts and the even-money runner-up returned with an easy win.

GG 6th Race (6:45 EST) -- RULER OF ANGELS, unhurried in last for a half mile, loomed into contention while 4-wide on the final turn, only to drift out and lose all chance. He finished willingly and is a must use on the ticket with ample pace flow up front. TEX HANLEY rallied for a win, a second and two thirds with ascending speed figures in his last four starts on Golden Gate’s synthetic track. MACHO CHROME has come close in five tries at this level, but he offers little value and his speed will be tested for his new connections.

GG 7th Race (7:15 EST) -- Good recent form abounds in this allowance sprint for 3-year-olds, not counting the return of multiple stakes-placed CHUCKANUT BAY after a $60,000 freshman season. Hit the ‘ALL’ button in the Pick 6.

GG 8th Race (7:45 EST) -- SONOMA DREAMING controlled the pace and kicked away from BLACKENED, her closest pursuer, with a good-looking stretch run at 6F. BLACKENED held the place spot while running with first-time Lasix and switches riders for the rematch at 5-1/2F.
