Tonight, Yonkers Raceway has an 11-race card featuring Blue Chip Matchmaker action. There are two Matchmaker races in the $1.00 Pick 3 which starts in Race 6. They are in Leg 1 and Leg 3, and the sequence will be my focus. The other Matchmaker race on tonight's card goes in Race 3. The weather looks good for a fast track.

Matchmaker standings:1st-Amazing Dream N (225 pts.) 2nd-Racine Bell (175 pts.) 3rd-Drama Act & Lucky Artist (158 pts.)
Amazing Dream N and Lucky Artist A will square-off in Race 8. Drama Act will be battling for the top prize in Race 6.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Drama Act (1-1)-Should be out and rolling when the gates fold. Could have her way with his group and make every call a winning one. Has a big chance to start another winning steak.

Race 7

2-Mullinax (9/2)-Came first over to challenge a 1/2 shot at the Big M, then was game to the wire finishing 5th and fell shy by only 1 1/4 lengths. Battled better than this at Yonkers in December and should relish the company. Looks like a main player and could race near the top of the stack with this post draw.

Race 8

5-Dougs Babe A (9/2)-Made it look very easy winning last week after pulling and going first over around the 5/8's pole. The rail horse Amazing Dream (8/5) is a fine mare and has won 3 straight to lead the Matchmaker Series. Not taking anything away from her accomplishments but she had 2 cozy trips, then got on the point and went to the 1/2 in 57.1 in Leg 1. My thinking is this won't be as easy. Dunn could work a stalking trip and tackle the chalk down the lane.
