Friday's feature at Cal Expo is in Race 4, the Annette Funicello Pace. Six 3-year-old fillies and one mare will battle for a share of an $8,200 purse. The 0.50 Pick 5 sequence with a 16% takeout begins in Race 1, and the 0.50 Pick 6 starts in Race 6. My focus will be on the 0.20 Pick 4 which rolls in Race 7, it has a $25,000 guaranteed pool and a 16% takeout.

Race 7
1-Lilmessinaround - 2nd time lasix and 1st time Plano, looks to be worth a swing in an open race.
2-Spikeilike - Caught a bad trip after a winning effort, could get redemption tonight.
3-Forgiveusourzins - Roland barn has been on fire, steps up in class but may not matter.
8-Get Decked - Interesting play shows a 1:53.3 LT mark in '17 at Wdb., driver could be an issue.

Race 8
1-Eastender - Comes off a nice qualifier and should fit. Plano's barn is due to get going.
2-FF Bigshow - Made a rare break in last and will overlook. Should be in the hunt at nice odds.
3-Dupage's Z Tam - Caught good cover and flew home to just miss, should be a player.
4-Justabitcrazy - Rolled home unchallenged but did pace the back half in 56.3, best to respect.
5-Ragin's Flight - ML chalk has been a bridesmaid 3 straight times facing Open company. This is a better spot.

Race 9
7-I'm Blue Too - Won pulling away at this class from 7 hole and now has a good chance to do the same again.
8-Barbosa - Makes 4th start back for Plano and drops. Needs a fast-clean start, likes to be forwardly placed.

Race 10
1-Shesamysterytome - Steps up after drawing off by 4 lengths. Should fit here, has faced stakes company at NP.
2-Windsun T Bird - ML chalk was in too deep with Open company and now is in a spot to shine.
6-Coastal Tressure - 3rd start back, drops out of Opens and likes to win.
