Yonkers Raceway has an 11-race card with the 0.50 Pick 5 starting in Race 5, and it has a $10,000 guaranteed pool. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 rolls in Race 8, and the sequence will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 8 (9:20 PM EST)

1-Hickfromfrenchlick (9/2)-Will toss the last start from post 7, gets major post relief and that puts this one in play. The Schnittker barn looks like it is heating up and could offer a square price.
4-What Stanley Got A (5-1)-Winner of 2 straight will be tested here but has hit the board in 5 of 6 with 3 pictures. Not sure how good Stanley is but will respect chances.
5-Backstreet Shadow (3-1)-Has been trying hard and has over $1.5 million in his bank account. Draws well and could take a picture with a favorable trip.

Race 9 (9:40 PM EST)

1-Sailboat Hanover (7/2)-Trainer Jared Bako has lost this 6-year-old via claim twice and has claimed back twice over the last 4 races. Gets significant post relief and should be a main threat with a good steer.
5-Mickey Gee N (9/2)-Drops in for a tag and comes off a sharp win. Draws well, the Hudson barn has been clicking and could double up.
7-Justasec N (4-1)-Kakaley sticks with Berkely, the post helps the price and has won 2 of 3 versus this kind. Should be leaving hard and can be in the hunt at the wire.

Race 10 (10:00 PM EST)

1-Priceless Beach (5/2)-Drops to a more competitive level and should be tough to beat if brings his "A" game.
3-Feelin Western (4-1)-Had an even effort in the last start here on 7-31 leaving from the rail. This post draw shouldn't hurt, might be better as Stratton could duck and then look to come off cover. Needs a trip but can beat this crew it finds a live cover flow.
4-Euphoria N (8-1)-Came a 55.2 back half to finish a distant 2nd versus this company on 8-14. Comes back in sequence, moves in from post 7 and has value at the morning line price. There are no real untouchables in this crew so best to not overlook.

Race 11 (10:20 PM EST)

1-Regulator (5/2)-Finished 4th in a quick mile (151.3) and did go the 2nd half in 55.2 but it wasn't enough. The top 3 from that race are not in this field and it's doubtful the opening quarter goes in 26.3. Looking for a different set-up and a better outcome.
5-Ben Hope Rulz N (9-1)-Last start, this veteran was caught in a similar situation as the one above. This time, the inside 3 can leave, and if the pace is lively Kakaley could roll by down the lane at long odds.
