Northfield Park has a Sunday night 15-race card scheduled. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a low 12% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11

1-Another Daily Copy (6-1)-Looking for a square price and the veteran should be able to get a pocket ride if dialed on high. This is a trip out possibility, especially if the morning line choice has to work hard to land on the point.
7-Night Shadow (8/5)-Not loving the short price or the fact the Burke trainee starts from the 7-hole, but this isn't a deep field. Steps-up and is looking for its 5th straight picture. Has won 4 of 5 since joining the Burke barn but hasn't started from this far out.

Race 12

2-Dancin Dragon (3-1)-Takes a meaningful drop and draws well to get an efficient trip. Likes to race near the top of the stack and Merriman knows how to work that type of journey.
8-South Point (6-1)-Burke 3-year-old steps up and faces older but could be up to the challenge. Won by 10 lengths last week in 152.4 and did it on the engine. Might be able to get on the point and should be a fair price.
9-Sandbetweenmytoes (5/2)-Classy veteran drops to a spot to shine. Davis Jr needs to provide a sharp steer. Makes only its 2nd start at Nfld and came a nice 2nd versus better from the 9-hole last week.

Race 13

4-Speedy Dominic A (6-1)-Gets post relief and is showing signs it could be picture time. Closed in 55.2 last time and gets the services of Merriman who knows how to win with the Rhoades trainee.
5-Market Based (5/2)-Should be in the mix but has trouble winning lately and is only 1 for 6 at Nfld. It's better to respect in this spot because has enough get speed to get on the point from this post. If Wrenn gets off the gate in good shape he could land in the pocket or maybe, try to wire the field.
7-Bernie (7-1)-Bernie tries hard and the post makes the price. Stahl may look to leave hard, but if not, the pace could be quick enough to close into.

Race 14

2-Settit And Forgetit (5/2)-Drops to the level of a recent win and draws inside. Wrenn should be forwardly placed, on top or right behind the leader, and either could work for a picture.
3-Light Blue Movers (4-1)-Similar to the one above, drops to a level of past success. Merriman has choices and might not have the gate speed to get the top but should be there at the wire.
