Laurel Park fans were treated to free pumpkin and apple pies on Thanksgiving. The holiday celebration will continue Saturday, Nov. 25, when fans can feast on three consecutive $100,000 stakes races that are part of the 50-cent Late Pick 4 wager. Here’s a closer look:

LRL 6th race (3:00 P.M. EST) -- The $100,000 City of Laurel features five stakes winners, but two other 3-year-olds in the field appear primed to add black type to their resumes. LET IT RIDE arrives from Aqueduct off a smashing 7F victory in which he stalked the 1-to-2 favorite, put him away at the top of the stretch and was geared down late in an entry-level allowance. Brad Cox, a two-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer, ships in GIANT MISCHIEF, who sustained a 4-wide rally off a seven-month layoff to romp in six-figure allowance sprint at Churchill Downs that produced two impressive winners. Laurel Park-based POST TIME rallied to win the first four races of his career by a combined 17 lengths. He was unhurried to the stretch in the $235,000 Perryville at Keeneland last out, split rivals in mid-stretch with a big chance but settled for third. BYK is worth using on the ticket at a big price. He worked forwardly for his return from a five-month layoff but succumbed to a rapid pace and two next-out winners who passed by. NINETYPRCENTMADDIE draws the rail and is 7/3-2-2 in non-graded stakes races, spanning 5F to 1-1/16 miles.

LRL 7th race (3:31 P.M. EST) -- HOWL lived up to the hype in her MSW debut at Keeneland, albeit in a race that came back weak. She raced in-hand while 4-wide on the turn and ‘gained an advantage on her own power’ en route to a 7-3/4-length victory. Her winning 6F time was 4/5 of a second faster than a 2-year-old stakes race for the boys on the same card. She is today’s solo play in the $100,000 Safely Kept. (NOTE: If HOWL is scratched, use WARRIOR’S RANSOM in her place.)

LRL 8th race (4:02 P.M. EST) -- Excellent recent form abounds in the $100,000 Richard W. Small Stakes at 1-1/8 miles, with seven $200,000-plus earners who have combined for 48 wins. Go five-deep in this leg of the Pick 4.

LRL 9th race (4:33 P.M. EST) -- The last time JOHN HALL ran on the main track, he finished between Noah Chance (3-9, $124k), a two-time allowance runner-up since then, and On The Mark (3-11, $109k), a next-out allowance winner and recent $62,000 optional claiming race runner-up. He won a turf allowance this fall and figures tough at a short price in this $10,000 claimer. ISLAND D’LITE, who carries less weight than all but one rival, earned the top speed figure of his career in his second start off the claim. He backed off a duel near the turn and came back to nip trip-sitting favorite FROG TOWN for second.
