Tampa Bay Downs will feature a $13,310 Pick 6 Jackpot carryover this Friday. For starters, try the 50-cent Late Pick 4 that covers the first part of the sequence. Solve the puzzle that encompasses four large fields in a 90-minute span and you could be on your way to Jackpot riches.

TAM 6th race (3:04 p.m. EST -- NUCCI appears poised for a win in her third start off a five-month layoff and on the cutback to a short sprint. She kept good company at Delaware, meeting the likes of Child Proof (4-16, $61k), an easy winner in a $6,250 open claimer last week at Tampa, drew even with the winner on the turn when second two starts back at 7F, then bumped an inner rival at the start and moved into 3-wide contention when third last out. TAYARRA, plagued by slow and troubled starts, changes riders for the eighth consecutive start. But she gets in as the co-lightweight in the field and ran second in her prior 6F start behind runaway repeater Forever Uncaptured in a race that timed 4/5 slower than a same-day, $20,000 optional claimer for the boys. DEVRA WARRIOR also sheds weight for her seasonal debut, has a strong 6F race to summon at Tampa off similar rest and runs for the cheapest tag of her career. But she offers little value as the morning-line favorite. ALLIE’S HALO has a win, three seconds and an ‘improved’ but troubled fourth in her last five sprints and is usable at 12-1 on the morning line.

TAM 7th race (3:33 p.m. EST) -- Throw a blanket over this field with three first-time starters, a Maiden Special Weight dropper and four entrants coming off decent efforts with low 40 Beyers. Hit the ‘ALL’ button.

TAM 8th race (4:03 p.m. EST) -- MR. EXTENSION romped off a similar layoff to begin a decent 4-year-old season against much better company than he meets today. He hasn’t shown much of a passing gear but could be best suited by a stalking trip that mirrors a game, third-place finish behind eventual repeat winner Camptown Races at this level. GRAINGER COUNTY also projects an ideal trip at a tempting price. He ran second in four consecutive starts to start his campaign last year, including a blanket finish under these conditions at Tampa when he finished between a pair of rivals who are 12-for-50 with $264,000 in earnings as of today.

TAM 9th race (4:33 p.m. EST) -- Gulfstream Park shipper SLIM SLOW SLIDER is an ultra-consistent miler, cutting back to a short sprint for the first time in more than three years. Trainer Peter Walder is 13-for-88 in that span on the route-to-sprint angle. THE JUDGE AND JURY dueled through a :44.3 half mile, shook clear and kept the late-running second favorite in the rearview mirror. He’s 2-for-2 at 7F and doesn’t shy from the photo-finish camera, either.
