Cal Expo has a 10-race Sunday night card with the 0.20 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 7. The sequence has a $25,000 guaranteed pool with a 16% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7 (7:05 PM PST)

2-Gee Wilikers (4-1)-Team Cutting entry needs to be on the point or very close to the leader turning for the wire. Fits with this kind and may do enough to get a winning trip and seal the deal for a picture.
4-Dancin Lance (5/2)-Makes its 4th start for the Juan Pacheco barn and almost wired the field in its last race. Lemoyne Svendsen returns for his 2nd straight drive and does bump up. Willing to use and could go off at longer odds than the morning line. Best to respect, battled Open company here a couple of months ago and took 2 pictures.

Race 8 (7:25 PM PST)

3-Another Tuff Woman (7/2)-Broke its maiden winning by 17 lengths at 3/5 on 2-16. James Kennedy takes the lines, and this will be a bigger test. May be up to the challenge and hopefully won't be over bet.
4-Made Of Misschief (5/2)-Beat straight NW1 with ease at 1/9 and this will be the 3rd start since 9-16. Like the one above, will meet some older foes but could be posing again. This is Luke Plano's choice over the 3 and 8.
5-Love To Flirt (6-1)-Team Jesse Pacheco had a longshot winner on Friday night and the same could happen here. Has been cashing checks and raced well from the 8-hole last time. Could surprise with a sharp steer.
6-Celebrity Status (9/2)-Team Roland entry steps-up after breaking its maiden in a sharp score form post 7 on 2-16. That picture came in its 13th lifetime start and it was the 3rd race off the bench. The 3-year-old will need a big try to win but should be a square price and the upswing could continue.

Race 9 (7:45 PM PST)

1-Bettor's Promise (10-1)-The Jesse Pacheco barn might be waking up and Jim Lackey could work a suck-around trip with this old-timer. Will reach for a price, the morning line chalk is 1-39 at CalX.
2-Cenalta Hawk (4-1)-This 5-year-old has 4 starts at the meet and has been sporadic. Does have 1 win in the first race in town and broke at the start in last. Team Plano entry does step-up but shouldn't be out of place if comes with a top effort.
4-Promising Flight (7/5)-Recent form has been dull, and not sure why this 7-year-old merits a 7/5 morning line. Probably best to not completely dismiss but will lean to others with some value.
5-Watchmeneighneigh (5-1)-Svendsen takes a seat, and he knows this mare. With an efficient trip she could be in the hunt. Has the gate speed to get good position and race near the top of the stack, and the short field could help chances.

Race 10 (8:05 PM PST)

2-Brooklyn Wind Up (10-1)-Finds ways to lose even though she can rally from way back. Nick Roland could get closer to leader early in the mile and get sucked around. Has been trying hard and may not be 25-1 again tonight but should be a large price.
3-Rockin The Dragon (5/2)-Did beat this kind 3 back. James Kennedy can race near the top of the stack again and end with the same result.
5-Prom Queen (8/5)-A logical choice, comes back versus similar after rolling the back half in 56.3 to pass them all at even money. Has been bet hard in the last 2 and will look for the same again. The question is if this mare can win 2 in a row.

0.20 Pick 4
