ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 26, 2017) – With a festive on-track crowd of 40,023 looking on, there were no perfect tickets in Santa Anita’s popular two dollar Pick Six on opening day, Tuesday, resulting in a hefty carryover into Friday at The Great Race Place of $95,855.  With a pair of dark days on Wednesday and Thursday and average field size Friday at 10.1 horses per race, track officials project Friday’s total Pick Six pool will exceed $500,000.

Additionally, there is a Single Ticket Pick Six Jackpot carryover of $20,540 into Friday as well.

With an eight-race card on tap for Friday, first post time is set at 12:30 p.m.  The $75,000 Eddie Logan Stakes, for 2-year-olds at one mile on turf, has been carded as the fifth race and will serve as the day’s main event.  Friday’s Pick Six will cover races three through eight and approximate post time for the third race is at 1:30 p.m. PT.
