Hoosier Park concludes the weekend with a 12-race card. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 9, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 9 (9:56 PM EST)

3-IRA Who (5-1)-This will be the 3rd start after being put away in early November. The previous 2 races have been versus this kind. Posted a win in the last race on 4-27 after coming a nice 2nd. Will look for more of the same as drawing inside has worked well.
5-Latin Lover (12-1)-This will be the 4th start after being idle since early December. Will look to fade #1 the 2-1 morning line chalk. Team Wilfong entry showed improvement in last and has been stuck with post 10 twice. Should be rolling late and could surprise if in better striking range.
6-Jailhouse Dance (9/2)-Here is another who has been stuck outside, and also showed improvement in its last start. Got a bumpy trip from post 9 and Mike Oosting should work a smoother journey tonight.

Race 10 (10:18 PM EST)

1-Soft Spot (9/2)-Took the long way around in its Hoosier debut last week and finished a game 2nd. Bumps up but comes back in sequence. Could seal the deal this time if a bit better in his 2nd start on this oval.
3-Dixie Dream (15-1)-Raced big from the 8-hole after landing on the point but the trip took its toll. Steps up like a few of these and should be worth a swing. Needs a sharp drive and the post relief could make a winning difference.
6-Skyway Brittney (5/2)-This mare can dance at this level and has good gate speed to be forwardly placed off the hop. Kyle Wilfong should be racing at or near the top of the stack and could be in the mix at the wire.

Race 11 (10:40 PM EST)

6-Famous Father (5/2)-Had breaking issues in 2 of the last 3 races. In the last start it was due to an equipment break. Beat straight Open company recently and if minds manners could be headed to the winner's circle again.

Race 12 (11:02 PM EST)

3-Heidis Image (3-1)-Drops to a spot to shine and starting inside should help the cause as well. Likes to race on the lead, should get there off the gate and could stand tall down the lane versus this kind.
4-Some Big Dream (7/2)-Won and then was hung the mile as the beaten favorite. Starts in a much better spot and with a smooth trip could reward backers tonight.
