Tonight's main event at Hawthorne rolls in Race 8, the Cicero Claiming Series Final with a $20,000 purse. The Late 0.50 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 7 and will have a $15,000 guaranteed pool.

On Thursday night Sam Widger was the driver with the hottest hands making two trips to the winner's circle. No trainer had more than one win on the card. The track played fair although later in the eight-race card speed didn't hold up as well.

1-Fox Valley Reggie-Nice win in last at this level and now moves to the rail, best to respect.
6-Mr Big W-2nd start for Ode after a tough trip, should be in the hunt.
8-Zone Blitz-8/5 ML chalk just missed in local debut, in form and dangerous.

Race 8
1-Elite Awards-2nd start off a claim and fits with this group, will respect but will look to beat ML chalk.
2-KC Rambuctious Boy-2nd start off a claim and looking for a big try, knows how to win.
3-Twin B TK-2nd start for Team Leonard and will stake a swing at 7-1 in the ML.
4-Buff's Image-Got on the engine in last and made it look easy and has been sharp.

Race 9
4-Goody Two Socks-Last was better and now drops down for 3rd local start, can take a picture with best effort.
5-Fox Valley Cupid-Drops to a more comfortable spot, for 2nd start for Roth, should be a major player.
6-Jewel Maker-Came from way back to win last, can compete but needs to be in striking range.

Race 10
6-Kelly D-Steps up after drawing off by almost 6 lengths, looks solid again.
8-Ricky Bobbie-Drops a notch and is form, needs a good journey to win at a square price.
