The feature at Cal Expo rolls in Race 9, the Marvin Shapiro Pace Final which has a $9,300 purse. The 0.20 Pick 4 sequence has a $30,000 guaranteed pool and begins in Race 8. Last Saturday night the Pick 4 pool soared to over $65,000.

On Friday the Cal Expo driver with the hottest hands was Luke Plano who brought home five winners over a fast track. Trainer Edwin Quevedo led all conditioners with two wins.

The posted Pick 4 ticket at Hawthorne did connect for a modest profit of $14.85. The $0.50 Pick-4 combination of (1/1,8/6/6) paid $50.85.

Race 9
1-Getter Queen Flush-Post may not help much but with good cover will be heard from late.
2-Cenalta Call Girl-Similar to #1, in form and should be in the hunt in a competitive affair.
4-Window Wiper-Camera shy but a price shot to consider if pace is hot, comes off a big try.
5-Cenalta Diamond-Comes off a tough trip as a chalk and looks ready for a big effort.
8-Lovers Holiday-Another price shot who could pick-up the pieces late.

Race 10
3-Mint To Cruise-Broken equipment as chalk in last, tough to leave out but has had trouble closing the deal.
4-Lil Orphan Elmer-Rough trip in last and Svendsen's choice tonight, could score at a square price.
5-Who Dat Love-Looking for an aggressive drive and could land on the engine without using up a lot of gas.
6-Good Citations-Roland bottomed out the field and rolled home, will respect but not in love with the 3-1 ML.

Race 11
2-Rockin Repeat-Plano lands an inside post and this looks like a good spot for a picture.
5-Bring The Guns-Has had excuses but gets Roland tonight and a good post draw, should be in striking position.
