Cal Expo kicks-off the weekend with an 11-race card featuring an Open Pace for Fillies and Mares in Race 6. The 0.20 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 8 and has a $30,000 guaranteed pool with a 16% takeout. It's a challenging sequence but could be well worth a $36 investment.

Race 8
1-Smash-Should fit with these and last two were on an off track.
2-Cenalta Diamond-Excuses in last two, and if brings "A' game should be a big threat.
3-La Madawna De Rosa-Price shot usually draws outside and rallies late, could be in better position tonight.
5-Shesamysterytome-Battles well versus Open company and ML chalk deserves respect.
6-Blue Note-Plano will have this mare rolling and should be on the engine or right behind #5.

Race 9
3-Cowboy Mathis-Excuses in last two and ML chalk should be a big threat versus this group.
4-Holla At Ur Boy-2nd start after a claim and will take a swing as price should be right.
6-Fire On The Water-Needs a smooth trip, last was better and Svendsen sticks.

Race 10
1-Mystery Dragon-Likes to race up close and gets a good post draw, looks like a good spot to shine.
4-Major Jesse-Not consistent but should compete here and will use at 9-1 in the ML.
6-Happy Heath-Got top without much trouble and best these in last, same plan for Plano tonight.
9-Machabyebaby-Skipped a start and then just missed, will need a good trip but will respect.

Race 11
1-Perfect Pitch-Excuse in last and best could be good enough versus this group but a short price, 2-1 in ML.
5-Shez A Swift-Gets post relief and had a nice try from 8 hole in last. May finally get a long overdue win.
6-Soul Diva-Most wins in 2017 of this camera-shy field, using at 9-1 in the ML and Roland sticks.
