The Grade 1, $16 million Pegasus World Cup is the world’s richest horse race and has once again attracted a field of 12 superstar horses. The first five finishers in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic – Gun Runner, Collected, West Coast, War Story and Gunnevera – headline the field, alongside superstar miler Sharp Azteca, recent Grade 1 winner Seeking the Soul and European shipper Toast of New York.
The card also includes seven supporting stakes races, including a quartet of Grade 3 races – the W.L. McKnight, La Prevoyante, Hurricane Bertie and Fred W. Hooper.
The Pegasus World Cup will be broadcast live on NBC at 4:30PM ET, and XBTV will also provide live, on-site coverage of Pegasus World Cup Day at XBTV.com.
