Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.
Race 13 (3:30 PM EDT)
2-Ringin The Captain (7-1)-Aaron Lambert colt has been in the hunt in both starts and gets a positive driver change in Andrew McCarthy. Has been bet in both PcD races and McCarthy wasn't driving but he did during a qualifier. Should offer a solid price after being odds-on in the last start and is in a spot to get a suck-around trip.
6-Ain'tplayinnice (5/2)-The Brian Brown barn is posting 30% winners over the last 30 days. Today's pilot Dave Palone steered in the last start, won despite broken equipment and led most of the mile. Tries Lasix for the 1st time and will use at most likely a short price. Has a race on this oval unlike others, and that shouldn't hurt.
7-Frantic Hanover (2-1)-Tim Tetrick qualified the Ron Burke entry twice in Kentucky and then won a PASS Stake at PcD. Today, the start will be key and will be in the hunt at the wire if lands in a decent seat when the wings fold.
Race 14 (3:50 PM EDT)
4-Always Ana Hanover (3-1)-This Burke pupil has won 2 straight and 6 of 10 at Mea. Gets an edge with this post draw over some tough foes and has very good gate speed. The gals will be out and rolling and this one could be on the point.
5-Time Of The Season (5-1)-Tim Twaddle entry has good speed, looks versatile and that combo could be the winning difference. Dexter Dunn gets the nod and would expect the Bettor's Wish filly to be racing near the top of the stack.
8-Asphalt (5/2)-The Papi Rob colt has won 5 of 6 this year and posted a win in the only race at Mea. This would be the heavy program chalk from the inside. It would be best to not overlook, even with the outside post draw.
Race 15 (4:10 PM EDT)
3-Twisted Destiny (2-1)-The Chris Ryder student has only made 14 career starts but has already established himself as a force. Has won 10 of 14 lifetime and 6 of 7 at the Meadows. Can take a picture going gate to wire or coming off cover. Dunn knows how to provide winning trip and should be tough with a smooth journey.
4-Swingtown (4-1)-The Burke standout has banked over $540,000 and has shined on large and small ovals. Really liked him last week and was surprised to get 8-1. Won't be that price here but should offer more value than the one above. Ronnie Wrenn steered last week, and he excels on smaller ovals. It wouldn't be shock if this colt makes it 3 in a row.
Race 16 (4:30 PM EDT)
3-Principle Interest (6/5)-Will need to go chalk-chalk in a race without much form. Will lean toward those who have won their share at The Meadows in the past. Drops to a soft spot, Dave Palone gets the nod and the 4-year-old is overdue for a win. Its Meadows record is (12-5-4-0) and could try to wire this crew.
5-Dragon City (2-1)-This veteran also does good work at Mea (48-11-6-11) and has beaten better here at the end of May. Faded in last against tougher and now drops to a spot to shine with a smooth journey.
