Gulfstream Park’s Rainbow Pick 6 wager features a $40,230 carryover pool this Friday, Nov. 14. The 20-cent wager covers races 4 through 9. If you can beat several short-priced favorites in the sequence, you could be the lone Jackpot ticket holder. But the favorites should have another big say as the pool grows. Here’s a look at the Pick 3 for races 6 through 8, with a suggested $2 ticket that costs $24.
GP 6th race (2:47 p.m. EST) -- HE’S A BEAST came back running off an eight-month layoff. He poked his head in front of the 4-to-5 winner at the top of the stretch and finished a clear second at 7F. The siblings of his stakes-winning dam are 38/8-8-5 going a route of ground. WHEELHOUSE broke through the gate in his lone start on conventional dirt three starts back and was headstrong while racing in-hand to the far turn. He made little headway on the dueling leaders in the stretch, but the winner was 2-to-5 odds and the runner-up followed with a one-mile MSW win at Parx with a 72 Beyer.
GP 7th race (3:16 p.m. EST) -- Catch her if you can, something none of REZASROLEX’S opponents have been able to do in her last six starts on Gulfstream’s synthetic track. She was dismissed at odds-on in all but one of the victories. BEIJING BOSS pressed and passed one 2-to-1 co-fave through blazing fractions, the held off the late charge of another 2-to-1 shot to break her maiden on turf. She showed marked improvement for her new barn and breezed 4F in :48.2 on the dirt track since then.
GP 8th race (3:46 p.m. EST) -- Leading trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. has a double threat in the featured $62,000 optional claiming race—and both can enhance his 16-for-78 streak with long layoff types. MISH is 10-for-35, a model of ultra-consistency, and earned half of his $599k bankroll at 6F. But don’t sleep on PRACTICALLY DARK, a six-figure earner at age 3 who breezed 4F in a blistering :45.4 from a series of workouts for his seasonal debut. The five rivals he defeated when he last won at Gulfstream are a combined 111/21-17-18 with more than $1 million in earnings. SPEAK EASY tries to recapture the promise of his 2024 debut when he posted a 100 Beyer speed figure. He showed some signs of a breakthrough last out, ranging up alongside pace-setting favorite PURE CLASS for the stretch run despite spotting the field several lengths with an awkward start. He stayed on willingly to finish third and can turn the tables on race winner PURE CLASS on the cutback to 6F.
