Northfield Park wraps up the weekend with a 14-race card. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a 14% takeout, and it will be my focus. Comments and sections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11 (9:40 PM EST)

3-Moneyman Mikki (5/2)-Steps up but is razor sharp taking 4 straight pictures. Hasn't lost since arriving from Mea and switching barns. Does lose Dan Nobel to #7 and Aaron Merriman is a great replacement.
5-AYR Balmoral GB (7/2)-Here is another in fine form. Beat this kind 3 back with the same post and rallied to beat the $30K claimers last time. Braiden Rhodes gets the nod from Ron Burke. This is a live catch drive and with a smooth trip could double up.
7-Celtic Spirit N (7/2)-Nobel steers his own and drops to a more comfortable level. The post should help the price and will likely be put into play when the wings fold.

Race 12 (10:02 PM EST)

1-Rose Run Zoom (7-1)-This will be the 3rd race off the bench, put in a no-move mile, and then lost ground in last. Those were races with trainer Cory Krieser in the bike. Draws the rail, Merriman is at the controls, and the wrapper could come off tonight.
4-Digruntled Carl (7/2)-Beat this kind on 1-18 and that was the 2nd time in 3 starts. Does well racing near the top of the stack and Justin Irvine should have no issue working that plan.

Race 13 (10:24 PM EST)

2-Night Shadow (3-1)-Almost came to stop on 1-18 near the 3/4 pole and lost the race by over 23 lengths. The Burke trainee comes right back and takes a good drop in class. Ronnie Wrenn could work a suck around trip and will look for a rebound.
3-Betterdealmein (12-1)-Moved up for the last race and was in too deep. Before that was in solid form and now drops to a better level for a picture. Should get a good seat and is worth a swing at the morning line price.
5-Sure Thing Captain (4-1)-Has been a bridesmaid in the last 2 starts and now drops. Merriman could be on the point or in the pocket around the opening turn. Had a big year in 2025 winning 15 of 47 starts and this looks like a spot to take the 1st picture of 2026.

Race 14 (10:46 PM EST)

2-All Attitude (5-1)-Drops and gets a positive driver change with Merriman taking over. Started far back last time and finished that way. Lands at a level of past success and could bounce back in a big way.
7-Big Kiz (4-1)-Went off at 0.30 on a dollar last time and went gate to wire versus similar with Noble at the controls. The post draw helps the price but can't see the morning line price holding up. Should be put in play early on and could double up if dialed on high.
