Northfield Park has a 14-race card with the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a 14% takeout, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11 (9:40 PM EDT)

2-Evelyna Itis (6-1)-The inside draw makes the Beeler trainee a player. Won and came 2nd against this kind 2 and 3 back after leaving from inside posts. Braiden Rhoades should have in play when the wings fold. Tossing the last 2 starts from the outside and looking for a solid price.
5-Ponda Diamond (4-1)-Shipped back from Mea and put in an even effort to finish a distant 2nd. Comes back in sequence in the 2nd start in town and should be forwardly placed when the wings fold.

Race 12 (10:02 PM EDT)

5-Maggie Time (6/5)-Left from post 1 and led from start to finish to draw off by over 5 lengths. Usual pilot Aaron Merriman was between the pipes and will be steering this time as well. Starts inside of the main challenger Stay Salty and shouldn't have an issue landing on the point. Will look for another gate to wire score at a tiny price.

Race 13 (10:24 PM EDT)

1-Baywatch Hanover (4-1)-Dropped and left from the 9-hole to finish 3rd against this kind. Likes to race near the top of the stack and Dan Noble could work that trip.
3-Infinite Symbol A (3-1)-The veteran is in sharp form losing by a neck after winning 2 back. This field could be more of a challenge but has very good gate speed and should control things early on. Will likely be bet down and Justin Irvine should have the pedal down when the wings fold.
5-Two Pistol Annie (9/2)-Annie drops, and my feeling is the price will still be right to use. The grinder has been facing tougher and can be in the mix at the wire. Does need a sharp steer and an honest pace. Will use and hope both happen.

Race 14 (10:46 PM EDT)

3-JDS Chancey Allie (7-1)-This will be the 2nd start in the Troyer barn and showed some life on 3-7. Chris Lems sticks, and this is the 3rd race since shipping in from Hoosier. Could pick up a rare win at a healthy price and should fit well with this crew.
4-Alcohol You Later (7/2)-Dropped to this level 3 back, raced poorly on a frozen track and then was stuck with post 9 in the last 2 starts. Last time, landed 3rd off the gate and finished there in the best effort in a long time. Not loving the short morning line but need to use versus a beatable field.
