OZONE PARK, N.Y. - On Saturday, March 10, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will host a Cross Country Pick 4, featuring races from Aqueduct Racetrack and Santa Anita Park.
The multi-race wager will be highlighted by the Grade 3, $300,000 Gotham at Aqueduct featuring Albaugh Stables' Grade 1 winner Free Drop Billy, and the Grade 2, $400,000 San Felipe from Santa Anita with a competitive field including A-list Kentucky Derby contenders McKinzie, for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, and Bold d'Oro, for owner and trainer Mick Ruis, who will make his first start of the year following a third-place finish as the post-time favorite in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile last November.
Saturday's Pick 4 sequence will start with the Grade 3, $200,000 Tom Fool, carded as Race 9 at Aqueduct with a scheduled post time of 5:09 p.m. EST. It will be followed by Race 5 at Santa Anita, the Grade 1, Frank E. Kilroe Mile, featuring Champion Turf Male World Approval in search of his second consecutive stakes win of the year, and Race 10 at Aqueduct the Grade 3, Gotham (5:40 p.m. EST). The final leg of the Cross Country Pick 4 will be the Grade 2 San Felipe from Santa Anita.
