Northfield Park has a 15-race card with the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a 14% takeout, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11 (9:40 PM EDT)

5-Out Of Ice (5/2)-Won 4 straight at Mea and got a wide bumpy trip in its 1st start at Nfld on 4-6. Likes to win, took 10 pictures in 22 races in 2025, and will look for a smoother journey in its 2nd race on this oval.
8-Charlie May (4-1)-Came a good 2nd versus Open company at HoP on 4-3. Does well at Nfld (8-4-4-0) and the post helps the price. Dan Noble gets the call and he will be aggressive. But Charlie doesn't need to lead every step of the way to post a win.

Race 12 (10:02 PM EDT)

3-Vandy Lane (7/2)-Left from the 7-hole and raced big off a wide trip to finish 3rd. Tries this kind for its 2nd straight race and Chris Lems can work a kinder trip moving inside.
4-TT's Magnum Force (3/2)-Noble takes the lines and the last time he steered it was picture time here against better. Will look for a top of the stack trip and when Noble teams up with the Wengerd barn they post 33% wins.

Race 13 (10:24 PM EDT)

5-Sforza (9/5)-This 5-year-old makes its 1st Nfld start and that is somewhat curious but normally does its work on the East Coast. Usual driver Aaron Merriman steers here and will assume all systems are go. Likes a top of the stack trip and could control the mile.
9-Don't Take My Keys (6-1)-Came 3rd two back against this kind but had missed a start. Then came back leaving from post 2 and faded late to come 2nd. This post will be a challenge but won from the 9-hole on 3-8 against easier. Noble could be leaving from the rail, and Lems can find a way to be in a position to win down the lane.

Race 14 (10:46 PM EDT)

1-Charge Me Up (5/2)-This will be the 4th race since shipping in from MVR. Won 3 back and has been close in the last 2 races. Gets class relief and could look to make every call a winning one.
7-Born Wild (7-1)-MVR shipper was battling better and lands in a good spot to cash the top check. Merriman is at the controls and should offer a fair price. The 5-year-old is looking for its 1st win this year but has taken 7 pictures in 18 races at Nfld.
