The Sunday night feature at Pompano Park rolls in Race 10, an Open Handicap Pace with a $15,000 purse. The 0.50 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 6 and has a $30,000 guaranteed pool with an industry low 12% takeout.

Last night, my posted Pick 4 ticket at Cal Expo came apart in the opening leg when #1-Holla At Ur Boy won and paid $53.60 and was not on my radar. That was one I regretted as it was the second consecutive win at the same class, after going 0-9 in 2018. Sometimes when a horse regains confidence it can make a big difference and they will stay good for a while as the (1-5-7-5) 0.20 Pick 4 winning ticket paid $1922.20.

Race 6
2-Annihilator-Not a bad try in 1st start at this level, Krueger should stay in the hunt from here.
3-Fritzie Pic Up Man-Hennessey's choice will be bet and will need best effort and a good trip.
6-Rock N Row-Has the gate speed to get into the game early and may be good enough for an encore.

Race 7
2-Dynamite Dude A-Nice win at one mile and 1/4, Lasix seems to have helped and will respect chances here.
3-Sucrose Hanover-Looking for a price in 2nd start after a sick scratch. Even effort in last but fits with this group.
4-CC Big Boy Sam-Sam is the ML chalk, but I'm not convinced, can't leave out but will look to beat.
6-A Good Time To Rock-Steps up after a romp in 2nd start after a rest, the 6-1 ML piques my interest.

Race 8
1-Sgt Grit-Even effort after being a lame scratch, but a return to previous form could be good enough for a win.
6-Major Way-Missed a start after a pair of 2nds, thinking the rest may help and Simons sticks.
7-Always A Tiger-Has beaten better, when right can grind way around and find a way to win.

Race 9
1-Sir Bradford-MacDonald takes a turn and a more aggressive drive could put this 4-yr.-old in the hunt.
4-Spirit Shadow-Program chalk was Hennessey's choice over 4 others and this looks like a good spot to shine.
5-No Bad Dreams-Sharp effort in last and Simons may have picked up a live drive, looks like a major player.
