Yonkers Raceway has a 10-race card that should attract a great deal of interest. There will be a $2,535.18 carryover in the Late Pick 4 and a $1,741.61 carryover in the Pick 5, and both sequences will have a $30,000 guaranteed pool. The $1.00 Pick 5 starts in Race 5, and the $1.00 Late Pick 4 rolls in Race 7. The Spot Plays are in Race 7, Race 8, and Race 9. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7 (8:45 PM EDT)

6-Mac’s Delight (6-1)-This 6-year-old beat the Invites 2 back and could get a good seat off the gate. Jordan Stratton knows how to roll by down the lane. Mac should be a solid price and could be overlooked with this post draw. Has a shot to upset and would add some pop to the Pick 4 and Pick 5.

Race 8 (9:05 PM EDT)

7-Captain Albano (3-1)-Sweet Beach Life (8) could get the lead again and win for the 9th straight time, and its current run is very special. But the classy Captain has won 7 of 11 at Yonkers and this is the first time back in town since winning the Borgata in May. Should have a say in this affair and starts inside of Sweet Beach.

Race 9 (9:25 PM EDT)

2-EvilEye Fleegle (5-1)-Won versus similar on 6-23 and since then has faced top end pacers at Yonkers without success. Fits much better here on a significant drop. Tyler Buter could get the top and make every call a winning one.
