#4 Irish Prophet (6-1 morning line odds) had to drop back farther than desired from outside draws in his last 2 starts and should be more into the race from post 4 and with a jockey change to speed rider Emisael Jaramillo. #4 Golden Sentry (5-1 morning line odds), Cal-bred or not, here he comes. Fantastic debut sprint winner is bred to be a miler and got a field-best 90 BRIS late pace figure in an eye-opening unveiling. The Carla Gaines barn has been going well the second half of the meet and this gelding fired a bullet workout upon his return to the tab after that initial victory. Win 4. Exacta key-box 4 with 8,3. #2 Dear Diary (8-1 morning line odds). Massive gallop-out when second behind a speed-pop winner in her debut. Went directly onto my watch list and excited to see them take a big stakes shot in the Del Mar Debutante and not be odds-on against maidens. She had been working with Grade 1 winner Subsanador prior to his Pacific Classic appearance, such a rarity for a 2-year-old filly to be paired with a horse of that caliber. Win 2. Exacta 2-9 larger, backup 9-2. Daily Doubles 2-7 bigger, 2-4 smaller. Picks 2-9-8-1.

Del Mar: Race 11 | 9:33 pm ET
#7 Owl (5-1 morning line odds) has pace versatility and looks to be sitting on go as veteran trainer Neil Drysdale goes to jockey Joel Rosario, a 27% winning combo with a profitable ROI. Owl returned to the workout tab 6 days after a decent fourth vs. similar last time and should continue to ascend. Keep an eye on #4 Jaguar Jon for an Andy Mathis barn that has a remarkable final-week record at Del Mar over the past decade-plus. Picks 7-4-6.
