The Meadowlands has a 14-race stakes loaded card featuring 2-and-3-year New Jersey breds. The Spot Plays are in Race 6, Race 7, and Race 12, and can be used in Win Bets as well as Gimmicks. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6 (8:25 PM EDT)

1-Dandelion Wire (9/2)-Willing to take a swing here with an Ake Svanstedt pupil that seems to be improving at the right time. The Andy Miller trainee #2 Wall of Fame the 9/5 chalk is a perfect 7 of 7 and has been dominant so this will be a challenge. But at the morning line price this filly should get an up-close seat when the wings fold and appears to have the speed to be in the mix at the wire. Looked a bit short last time and was off almost a month between starts. Tonight, comes right back and could be in line for a pocket ride behind the chalk. That would make the team Svanstedt entry a live upset candidate.

Race 7 (8:50 PM EDT)

3-Liftetime Dreamer (5/2)-Topped a couple from this field on 8-8 and that included tonight's program choice #2 Wrong Sounds Right (2-1). Then on 9-9 drew post 9 and took the long way around. Even with the wide ride trotted the back half in 55.3 and finished with a 27.3 last panel. Comes back quickly this time and could be sitting on a big race. With the post relief should be bet but hopefully not too hard.

Race 12 (10:55 PM EDT)

6-Real Choice (5-1)-Put in a dull effort in NYSS race at Btva 2 back. Then on 9-4 beat 4 for this crew and was dismissed going off at 14-1. Rolled home with a 54.4 back half and drew off with a 27.1 last quarter. The Nick Drennan pupil draws a choice post, comes off its best effort and this will be the 2nd straight drive for Jason Bartlett. It won't be a layup but there is no reason to doubt a double up possibility.
