My ticket keys the 3,4,7 in the top 2 slots. 3-Dalton Shard N (3-1) in the program and has been sharp coming 2nd and 3rd versus straight Open company in its last 2 races. The 7-year-old will be driven by usual pilot Tyler Borth. Doesn't have the gate speed of others but can get away in a decent seat. Should be stalking the leaders at the top of the lane and can be in the mix at the wire. Has shown .26 last quarters in the last 2 starts and was facing better. 4-Don't Drop The Ball (4-1) Comes off a strong performance with Jody Jamieson aboard. Took a picture leaving from the 9-hole, got the top before the 1/2 and then made every call a winning. Likes a top of the stack trip and can get one tonight. The question is will the 4-year-old need to be leading at the top of the stretch to win. Has had a nice year banking over $105,000 and could cash the top check here. Mark MacDonald will be between the pipes, and 7-Ayeaye Captain Deo (5-1) hasn't had recent success at this level. But the 4-year-old is the 2nd leading money earner in 2026 and has only made 20 starts. Has won 9 of 30 at Mohawk, and could go off at higher odds than the morning line. Came the back half in 53.4 last time and was far back early on after leaving from post 10. Will need a sharp steer and if in striking range could pop at solid price as Lasix has appeared to help.
