Track officials estimate a $1.25 million pool in today's Pick 6 with a mandatory payout provision joining a carryover of $134,790. Check out the full-card picks with the big sequence beginning in Race 5.

Race 1: The gap between 7 IMPERIA BLUE and 5 THUNDER PRINCESS was just a half length when they met 9/27, but considering ‘Princess is now off-the-claim for Pulgarin, a huge 35% angle, she has every right to turn the tables in the opener. ‘Blue showed she continues to be in good form with a 10/18 2nd and gets Lopez, so you know she’ll be bet hard and is the one to beat. Rising off a dominant N2L makes 2 LOOKS TO KILL a threat, though the top-2 won’t be too scared by that win against lesser. SELECTIONS: 5-7-2-4

Race 2: Taking the short price on 3 STEM CELL and moving on, as his close 5th against better in his Tapeta debut beats these easy, and he should only improve off it too. If 4 ATOMIC DON takes to the surface he’s in with a chance off that solid dirt 2nd last time, though the chalk has the homecourt edge. Tread lightly with 7 SMELL OF MONEY, a voided 9/4 claim who may not get back to the 8/17 Tapeta 2nd. SELECTIONS: 3-4-7-2

Race 3: The fact 1 MAJESTIC DELIGHT drops and doesn’t come out of the same iffy race four of these do says he’s in a good spot, and getting 5-8 lbs. from these won’t hurt either. The best of the 10/17 runners may be 5 ROCKAZO, as he picks up Lopez, even though 2 SKY MASTERSON beat him by a head, but is now 1-for-31 lifetime. SELECTIONS: 1-5-2-6

Race 4: Invader 5 TIZ GENERAL warrants a long look while trying Tapeta, as he was facing much tougher in Ky., has speed, and meets a weak group of locals. Who are led by 8 CILLIAN, an MSW dropper who also cuts back from a turf route, and seemed to handle the surface in the AM in August. Don’t ignore 1 BRO off a no-show in his debut in a turf route, as he sizzled on Tapeta in a 10/18 drill, and gets significant weight from all the main contenders too. SELECTIONS: 5-8-1-3

Start of $134K Carryover/Mandatory Payout Pick 6

Race 5: Stabbing with 6 INSOLENTA off a slew of Tapeta/turf runs, as she’s only run on the main track twice in her career, and meets a group that doesn’t really inspire. Taking another short price on 2 SWEET AGENDA seems silly, even though she’s best on paper, as she’s lost at odds-on in her last two. Don’t ignore 5 SAMARITAN’S JOY at a price, especially since she gets off the rail after breaking last. SELECTIONS: 6-2-5-1

Race 6: It’s Longshot time with 6 ORTUS off a sharp turf win for Lewis, who has been very live at the meet, and this 7yo owns a local Tapeta win earlier in his career too. The gap was 2 lengths when 8 STEELIN BASES beat 7 PEACETHRUSTRENGTH when they met 10/17, and while the latter may be able to bridge the gap second-off the layoff, the former was a convincing winner, and will again sit a better stalking trip today. SELECTIONS: 6-8-7-3

Race 7: Good luck beating 7 MODO LEYENDA on the MSW drop in her dirt debut, as she held her own on Tapeta/turf, is bred for this, and drew perfectly too. The main danger seems Midatlantic invader 2 MO PROBABLE off that nose 2nd at Del, though this is a tougher group, and there’s speed to her outside too. The price player is 5 KIM WIN WIN, especially since she worked big 10/30 on the main track, for a Lopez barn that is 2-for-6 OTC. SELECTIONS: 7-2-5-1

Race 8: Maybe two turns is what 1 POSEIDON’S LAW has wanted all along, as his sprint form has stagnated, but he’s bred for this, drew well, and should be closer early too. A close 3rd at the level makes 3 PARIS SURPRISE the one to beat after he just finished behind two toughies, though his margin for error here is a slim one. Let’s see if 5 LONGBRANCH LOU can handle a class rise, as he’s been doing his good Tapeta work against lesser of late. SELECTIONS: 1-3-5-6

Race 9: Newcomers 6 KID TWIST and 5 EDITOR have been facing better in Ky., so they have a class edge here, with the former getting the call with Gallegos taking over for Amaty, which has proven to be a potent combination. Editor makes perfect sense in his local debut for David, especially since he’s really improved his game in two starts OTC. The best of the locals is 1 SWAGGISH off that solid 3rd against better, although it came in the slop, and his fast track numbers aren’t quite as big. SELECTIONS: 6-4-1-9

Race 10: It’s Best Bet time in the finale with 3 KOKOMO KITTY, who tries Tapeta off a close 2nd on turf, meets a modest group, and still has plenty of upside too. ‘Mate 8 SOVEREIGN GOLD has an edge with a good 2nd on Tapeta, but it came in June and she hasn’t been seen since, and Reyes lands on the pick now too. Newcomer 9 NECEA moves to Tomlinson off a 2/7 layoff and worked a bullet for this, but is a complete unknown off just one iffy turf start. SELECTIONS: 3-8-9-5

Best Bet: R10: #3 Kokomo Kitty (2-1)
* Improved trying turf and two turns
* Recency edge over stablemate (#8)
* Stable go-to rider Reyes lands here

Longshot: R6: #6 Ortus (6-1)
* Enters off very strong turf win
* Owns a local Tapeta win earlier
* Lewis firing with limited starters
