Pompano Park has a Sunday night 10-race card on tap and the headliner for betting purposes is the 0.50 Pick 4. That sequence begins in Race 6 and has a $30,000 guaranteed pool with an industry low 12% takeout. The Pick 4 payout could be bolstered because of two 10-horse fields in the sequence.

Last night at Cal Expo the miscue on my Pick 4 ticket was in the opening leg when the odds-on favorite won. The (1-7-7-3) 0.20 combination paid $27.66, and as it turned out it was a very chalky weekend at Cal Expo.

Race 6
2-Prince Panang-Winner of last 2 can fire out and be in line for a great trip. In top form, will respect for a 3-peat.
3-Terlingua-Should enjoy the company and gets Ingraham back, fresh horse that could pop at a square price.
7-Major Marcus-Taking a swing Santeramo can control the race and will leave #9, the ML chalk out.

Race 7
3-Prairie Panther-Hennessey's choice comes off 3 qualifiers, came 2nd to McWicked in last, looks ready to roll.
7-Rockntouch-Fits well with this crew and has the gate speed to get involved early and not look back.
8-Arsenal-10-year old hasn't been in great form but this is not a deep field, best to respect even from this post.

Race 8
1-Major Starlight-Usually makes the most of an inside post and team Ingraham should be dialed on high.
2-Kotare Yael-Will toss last from 7 hole and looks to fit well from here and can surprise at a nice price.
4-Four Socks-Nice win in last from rail. This probably won't be as easy but will use in a competitive affair.
5-Rebellious-Has the right post to fly out but isn't a rocket off the gate. Start will be key, has the speed to finish.

Race 9
5-Harttattack-Positive driver change and gets post relief, should be trying hard for first win of the year.
6-Peenie-3rd start off a lame scratch and last was better. Has the gate speed to leave but also can grind it out.
9-Great Soul-Don't like the post or the ML odds but it's tough to leave the old-timer out versus this crew.
