To wrap up the weekend Hawthorne has an 11-race card on tap for Mother's Day. The feature event from a betting angle is the 0.50 Late Pick 4 which starts in Race 8 and has a $20,000 guaranteed pool. The sequence is competitive and has attracted my interest.

At the Big M on Saturday the opening and closing legs were incorrect on my ticket as the 0.50 Pick 4 combination of (7-8-3-6) paid $209.80

The drivers with the hottest hands last night at Hawthorne with three win each were Tim Curtin, Travis Seekman and Kyle Wilfong. Trainer Angie Coleman led conditioners with two pictures.

Race 8
1-Major Jesse-30-1 shot in from CalX, if being off since 4/24 doesn't hurt, has the speed to win at a nice price.
5-All In No Out-Drops to a better level and has won 4 out of 20 here, which is the best win ratio in the field.
6-Guns And Roses-9/5 ML chalk is in from HoP and looks like a major player tonight.

Race 9
2-Illinimight-2nd start off the bench after banking over $84k in 2017, if tight enough it could be picture time.
3-Trotting Grace-Drops after a needed tune-up but fits with these.
7-Out Of Luck-Even effort in qualifier but was Leonard's choice in a wide-open affair.
8-Iholdon-Fits and has the gate speed to get on the engine or in two hole to be a major threat.

Race 10
1-Shelby Rae-Won last from rail at big odds, won't be 24-1 but best to not overlook as back in at same class.
7-Mocking Robin-Beaten favorite should be tighter tonight and could take a picture.
8-Fox Valley Charliz-Didn't think the drive was great in last but effort was the best in a while. Camera shy but will respect.

Race 11
2-Al's Briefs-Qualified with older and came the last half in 56.2, will use and hope tight enough.
6-JB'S Enigma-Nice win in 1st start off the bench and appears good enough to make it 2 straight.
9-Frontier Frank-Can leave well enough to get a good seat, with a more aggressive start should stay in the hunt.
