Hawthorne wraps up the weekend with a 10-race card. On Sunday the 0.50 Late Pick 4 has a $20,000 guaranteed pool and will be my focus.

On Saturday the drivers with the hottest hands at Hawthorne were Tim Curtin and Casey Leonard with two wins each. The leading conditioner was Terry Leonard with two trips to the winner's circle.

At Mohawk last night the posted Pick 4 ticket connected on only three of four legs as the (5-8-6-7) ticket paid $95.50 on a 0.20 bet.

Race 7
2-Cowgirl Too-Came up short in season debut but should be tighter and will respect as Leonard steers again.
5-Sandy Sage-Broke maiden coming from the back in a .57 2nd half, best to not overlook.
6-Prettyfaceuglyways-In from Nfld, has won here last year but not crazy about the 3-1 ML.
7-Miss Tennessee-Last was better than the line shows considering was 1st start since 8/17, will use at 8-1 ML.

Race 8
1-Sports Creek-Not Leonard's choice but will use off the qualifier from the rail.
5-Sports Cowboy-Program chalk races at big tracks all over North America, may get 1st win in 2 years in Stickney.
7-Shame On The Moon-Leonard's choice is camera shy but has been facing better.

Race 9
1-Over Speeding-Tough trip in last and now Leonard takes a seat, looks like a major player.
3-Shelby Rae-Fits well with this group and should be in the hunt.
9-Fox Valley Charliz-Usually finds ways to lose but this isn't a deep group, Oosting may work a trip at a square price.

Race 10
2-Cool Casper-Nice try in debut and now Seekman steers which should help.
5-Fox Valley Hijinx-Tough trip in 1st start off the bench, has faced better and should enjoy the company.
8-JB's Enigma-Will use at 6-1 as was hurt by slow pace in last. Leonard could work a trip to take a picture.
