The Saturday night feature at the Meadowlands rolls in Race 7, a preferred handicap pace with a $20,000 purse. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 with a $50,000 guaranteed pool begins in Race 8. It's an interesting sequence and will be my focus.

The posted Pick 4 ticket at Hawthorne on Friday didn't connect, but I wasn't the only person off target. There were no winners so there will be a $14,612 carryover and the Late Pick 4 tonight has a $40,000 guarantee.

The driver with the hottest hands at the Big M on Friday was David Miller who made four trips to the winner's circle. There wasn't a trainer credited with more than one win.

2-Artmagic-Classy 5-year-old hasn't won at the Big M but does know his way to the winner's circle.
5-JK Parlay-Does fit with these and looking for Sears to work a trip from this post.
7-Major War-Looking for a better start, came the last 1/2 in 54.2 but fell short, could be a diifferent ending tonight.

Race 9
3-Mister Indiana-HoP regular is looking for 1st win of year and does look like a player in 3rd Big M start.
6-Allblack Stride N-Better versus cheaper but in form and this is a softer bunch.
10-Southern Pursuit N-McCarthy takes a seat and will need to find live cover, has the speed to get the job done.

Race 10
5-Nobles Finesse-This isn't a group of all-stars, at 15-1 worth a swing and has beaten better, could pop with a trip.
7-Justified-In at a level to shine, looks like a player versus this bunch.
9-Always A Hotshot-Nice effort in last from 8-hole, could be tighter tonight in 3rd start of the year.

Race 11
1-Playerosa-Taking a swing, the rail may boost chances, has had past success and should be a nice price.
2-Yo Apollo Creed-McCarthy steers and thinking he will look for cover and try to roll by at a square price.
5-Rockin Robert-10-year-old beat cheaper and now tries the Big M, will respect chances versus this field.
